Stewardship begins with the realization that all we are and all we have are gifts from God.  Out of gratitude for all that God has given us – our life, our family and friends, our faith, our talents, our ability to earn a living, etc – we have a responsibility and duty to return a portion of those gifts by sharing our time, talents and treasure with one another, in loving service.  Stewardship is our way to say “Thanks, God, for all the ways you have blessed me!”

There is a deep joy and satisfaction that comes from being a good steward.  Making time for God’s people through prayer and worship, sharing our love with family and friends and volunteering our time and talents not only benefits others, but also affirms the goodness of God within.  It fosters a sense of joy and meaning in life that others want to be a part of.  It’s what makes Church an inviting community of faith that people want to be a part of.

There are many ways to be involved at St. Teresa.  We encourage you to prayerfully reflect on the Stewardship opportunities at St. Teresa and how you can say “Thanks, God,” by sharing a portion of your time and talent.  We also encourage you to consider your Stewardship of treasure and how you are making a return to the Lord.

As St. Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:7 “God loves a cheerful giver.”  Let us give thanks to the Lord our God who enables us to give so generously.
